AI / Security System Disclaimer

This AI / Security System Disclaimer (“Disclaimer”) governs the use of the PerimeterEye AI monitoring platform, software, hardware, mobile applications, cloud services, cameras, spotlight systems, sensors, and related products and services (collectively, the “System”). By purchasing, installing, accessing, or using the System, Customer acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY ONLY

The System is an assistive security and monitoring tool designed to provide automated monitoring, notifications, video analytics, AI-assisted event analysis, and related functionality. The System is not a substitute for human supervision, professional security personnel, emergency response services, physical barriers, insurance coverage, or personal safety precautions.

PerimeterEye does not guarantee the prevention of crime, theft, trespassing, vandalism, bodily injury, property damage, fire, medical emergencies, or any other incident.

2. NO GUARANTEE OF DETECTION

Customer acknowledges that the System may fail to detect, identify, classify, track, record, analyze, or notify Customer of all events, persons, vehicles, weapons, hazards, emergencies, suspicious activity, criminal conduct, or other threats.

The System may fail to operate properly due to, including but not limited to:

environmental conditions

weather conditions

darkness or lighting conditions

obstructions

camera positioning

network limitations

bandwidth issues

hardware failures

software bugs

firmware issues

AI processing limitations

cloud service interruptions

improper installation

third-party equipment failures

power outages

internet outages

signal interference

intentional tampering or sabotage

No representation or warranty is made that every event or threat will be detected, recorded, classified, or reported.

3. AI PROCESSING LIMITATIONS

Customer understands and acknowledges that artificial intelligence and machine learning systems are probabilistic technologies and are inherently imperfect.

AI-generated outputs, classifications, alerts, recommendations, behavioral analysis, threat scoring, object detection, facial analysis, vehicle analysis, or escalation decisions may contain inaccuracies, errors, delays, omissions, false positives, false negatives, hallucinations, misidentifications, or incomplete conclusions.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

harmless activity being classified as suspicious

actual threats not being identified

inaccurate object or person recognition

incorrect vehicle identification

delayed escalation decisions

missed motion events

inaccurate package or delivery recognition

inaccurate behavioral analysis

incorrect prioritization of threats

Customer assumes all risks associated with reliance on AI-generated outputs.

4. NO EMERGENCY RESPONSE GUARANTEE

PerimeterEye does not guarantee any emergency response, dispatch response, police response, fire response, medical response, security guard response, or intervention of any kind.

The System may generate alerts, notifications, or escalation workflows, but no guarantee is made that:

law enforcement will respond

emergency responders will be dispatched

emergency contacts will be reachable

emergency notifications will be delivered

emergency services will arrive in time

any incident will be prevented, stopped, or mitigated

Customer acknowledges that emergency response agencies may refuse, delay, ignore, deprioritize, or discontinue responses to System-generated alerts.

5. NO LAW ENFORCEMENT GUARANTEE

PerimeterEye does not represent or guarantee that any law enforcement agency, government agency, dispatcher, first responder, monitoring center, or emergency service provider will monitor, review, accept, prioritize, or respond to System alerts, notifications, evidence, or requests for assistance.

Any integration, workflow, recommendation, or emergency escalation feature does not create any obligation by any third party to respond.

6. NOT A LIFE-SAFETY SYSTEM

THE SYSTEM IS NOT A LIFE-SAFETY DEVICE.

The System is not certified or intended for use as:

a fire alarm system

a burglar alarm system

a medical alert system

a panic system

a UL-listed life safety platform

a guaranteed emergency notification system

a substitute for monitored alarm services

Customer shall not rely on the System where failure could result in death, bodily injury, medical harm, or catastrophic property loss.

7. NO INSURANCE SUBSTITUTE

The System is not insurance and is not a substitute for homeowners insurance, renters insurance, commercial insurance, liability insurance, property insurance, security guards, or any other risk management solution.

PerimeterEye makes no representation that use of the System will reduce insurance premiums, prevent losses, satisfy insurance requirements, or eliminate risks.

Customer remains solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining adequate insurance coverage.

8. SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS AND OUTAGES

Customer acknowledges that uninterrupted operation of the System cannot be guaranteed.

The System may experience interruptions, degradation, downtime, latency, outages, delays, or failures caused by:

internet outages

cloud outages

cellular failures

ISP failures

power outages

battery depletion

software errors

firmware bugs

maintenance

cyberattacks

server failures

third-party service provider interruptions

infrastructure failures

hardware malfunctions

environmental conditions

force majeure events

PerimeterEye disclaims all liability arising from service interruptions or outages.

9. INTERNET, POWER, AND CLOUD DEPENDENCIES

Certain System features require:

active internet connectivity

cloud connectivity

operational local networking

operational wireless infrastructure

functioning third-party APIs and services

electrical power

Loss or degradation of any dependency may impair or fully disable portions of the System, including:

AI analysis

remote viewing

cloud recording

mobile notifications

event uploads

remote access

synchronization

alert delivery

software updates

emergency workflows

10. THIRD-PARTY HARDWARE AND SERVICES

The System may rely on or integrate with third-party hardware, software, APIs, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications providers, payment processors, operating systems, app stores, internet providers, camera manufacturers, networking equipment, or external platforms.

PerimeterEye makes no warranty regarding the reliability, compatibility, availability, uptime, security, or continued operation of third-party products or services.

Third-party failures may impair System performance or functionality.

11. DELAYED OR FAILED NOTIFICATIONS

Notifications, alerts, messages, calls, emails, push notifications, SMS messages, or escalation events may be delayed, interrupted, misrouted, filtered, blocked, or not delivered at all.

Factors affecting notification delivery may include:

internet outages

mobile carrier issues

cloud outages

device settings

operating system restrictions

spam filtering

application permissions

battery saver modes

user configuration issues

third-party service interruptions

PerimeterEye does not guarantee real-time delivery of alerts or notifications.

12. NO GUARANTEE OF UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE

PerimeterEye does not warrant that the System or any portion of the services will operate continuously, securely, error-free, or without interruption.

Features, functionality, cloud services, AI models, integrations, interfaces, or platform capabilities may be modified, suspended, limited, degraded, or discontinued at any time without liability.

13. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

Customer is solely responsible for:

maintaining internet connectivity

maintaining electrical power

maintaining networking equipment

proper camera placement

testing the System regularly

maintaining secure account credentials

maintaining updated contact information

complying with all applicable laws

maintaining independent safety and security measures

Customer acknowledges that no security system eliminates all risks.

14. LIMITATION OF RELIANCE

Customer agrees that reliance on the System is solely at Customer’s own risk.

Under no circumstances shall PerimeterEye be liable for:

criminal acts

unauthorized access

theft

burglary

trespassing

assault

bodily injury

wrongful death

property damage

lost profits

emotional distress

business interruption

data loss

missed events

delayed notifications

failure to detect threats

failure to prevent incidents

emergency response delays or failures

to the maximum extent permitted by law.

15. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

BY USING THE SYSTEM, CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT:

THE SYSTEM IS ASSISTIVE ONLY;

THE SYSTEM IS NOT FAILSAFE;

NO SECURITY SYSTEM CAN GUARANTEE SAFETY OR PREVENT ALL INCIDENTS;

AI OUTPUTS MAY BE INCORRECT;

INTERNET, CLOUD, POWER, OR HARDWARE FAILURES MAY DISABLE THE SYSTEM;

ALERTS OR NOTIFICATIONS MAY BE DELAYED OR NOT DELIVERED;

EMERGENCY RESPONSE IS NOT GUARANTEED; AND

CUSTOMER ASSUMES ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH USE OF THE SYSTEM.
