Warranty Policy
Effective Date: 05/15/2026Company: PerimeterEye
This Warranty Policy (“Policy”) governs warranty coverage for hardware, software, firmware, installations, and related services provided by PerimeterEye (“PerimeterEye,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing, installing, activating, or using PerimeterEye products or services, Customer agrees to this Policy.
1. Limited Hardware Warranty
PerimeterEye warrants that eligible PerimeterEye-branded hardware products will be free from material defects in workmanship and materials under normal intended use for the applicable warranty period.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
Cameras: One (1) year limited warranty
AI Processing Units / Kiosks: One (1) year limited warranty
Spotlights / PTZ Hardware: One (1) year limited warranty
Sirens / Accessories: Ninety (90) days limited warranty
Warranty periods begin on the original delivery date to the Customer.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless otherwise approved by PerimeterEye in writing.
2. Warranty Remedy & Replacement Procedures
If PerimeterEye determines that an eligible product is defective during the applicable warranty period, PerimeterEye may, at its sole discretion:
repair the product;
replace the product with new or refurbished equipment;
replace defective components;
provide functionally equivalent substitute equipment; or
issue store credit or account credit.
Warranty Claim Process
Customer must:
submit a warranty request through approved PerimeterEye support channels;
provide proof of purchase;
provide requested diagnostics, logs, photographs, or videos;
allow remote troubleshooting where applicable;
return equipment if requested.
PerimeterEye may require Customers to perform reasonable troubleshooting steps prior to approving replacement requests.
PerimeterEye reserves the right to deny warranty claims where insufficient evidence of defect exists.
3. Return & Replacement Shipping Procedures
If a return is approved:
PerimeterEye may issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”);
returned products must be properly packaged;
Customer is responsible for preventing transit damage during return shipment unless otherwise instructed.
PerimeterEye may:
provide prepaid return labels,
require Customer-paid return shipping,
or cross-ship replacement units at PerimeterEye’s discretion.
Failure to follow RMA instructions may void warranty eligibility.
4. Shipping Damage Procedures
Customer must inspect all deliveries immediately upon receipt.
Any shipping damage, shortages, or visible package damage must be reported within:
forty-eight (48) hours for visible external damage; and
seven (7) calendar days for concealed internal damage.
Claims must include:
photographs of packaging;
photographs of damaged equipment;
shipping labels;
and supporting documentation reasonably requested by PerimeterEye.
Failure to timely report shipping damage may result in denial of replacement or shipping claims.
Risk of loss transfers to Customer upon delivery to the shipping carrier unless otherwise required by law.
5. Labor Coverage Rules
Unless explicitly included in a written service agreement:
warranty coverage applies to hardware only;
labor costs are excluded;
installation costs are excluded;
removal/reinstallation costs are excluded;
travel charges are excluded;
lift/equipment rental costs are excluded.
If PerimeterEye elects to provide labor coverage under a separate written agreement, such coverage shall be limited strictly to the terms stated in that agreement.
6. Software & Firmware Warranty Limitations
PerimeterEye software, firmware, cloud services, AI systems, mobile applications, and related digital services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
PerimeterEye does not warrant that:
software or firmware will operate uninterrupted;
services will be error-free;
defects will be corrected immediately;
AI detections will be accurate;
notifications will always be delivered;
cloud systems will remain continuously available;
or software will meet all Customer expectations.
Firmware updates, software patches, AI models, cloud features, and platform functionality may change, evolve, or be modified at any time.
PerimeterEye does not guarantee perpetual compatibility with:
third-party devices,
third-party networks,
ISPs,
routers,
switches,
smart home systems,
or external software platforms.
7. Third-Party Hardware Disclaimer
PerimeterEye may utilize or integrate third-party hardware, including but not limited to:
cameras,
networking equipment,
power supplies,
mounting systems,
storage devices,
speakers,
relays,
or other accessories.
Third-party hardware may carry separate manufacturer warranties.
PerimeterEye disclaims responsibility for:
third-party manufacturing defects;
discontinued hardware;
supplier changes;
firmware incompatibilities;
or failures caused by third-party vendors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PerimeterEye does not provide independent warranties for third-party products unless explicitly stated in writing.
8. Unsupported Modifications Void Warranty
This warranty immediately becomes void if equipment is:
modified,
reverse engineered,
tampered with,
opened without authorization,
reflashed with unauthorized firmware,
repaired by unauthorized persons,
altered electrically,
or used with unsupported components.
Warranty coverage is also void if Customer:
bypasses safety systems;
alters wiring configurations;
changes voltage specifications;
installs unsupported accessories;
or interferes with system software protections.
9. Unauthorized Installer Exclusions
Warranty coverage may be denied if installation, servicing, relocation, rewiring, or modification is performed by:
unauthorized installers;
uncertified contractors;
unlicensed electricians where required;
or individuals not approved by PerimeterEye.
Improper installation voids warranty coverage.
10. Environmental & Weather Exclusions
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by:
flooding;
hurricanes;
tornadoes;
hail;
saltwater exposure;
corrosion;
excessive humidity;
moisture intrusion;
condensation;
dust contamination;
insects or pests;
extreme temperatures;
UV degradation;
fire;
smoke;
or other environmental conditions.
Outdoor hardware must be installed according to PerimeterEye specifications.
Improper environmental placement voids warranty coverage.
11. Surge, Lightning & Power Damage Exclusions
Warranty coverage excludes damage resulting from:
lightning strikes;
electrical surges;
brownouts;
power spikes;
unstable voltage;
improper grounding;
generator faults;
utility failures;
overloaded circuits;
or improper power supplies.
Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate:
surge protection,
grounding,
UPS systems,
and electrical compliance.
12. Accidental Damage Exclusions
Warranty coverage does not include:
accidental damage;
impact damage;
vandalism;
theft;
cosmetic damage;
misuse;
abuse;
negligence;
dropping;
water immersion;
animal damage;
cable damage;
or intentional destruction.
13. Customer Maintenance Responsibilities
Customer is responsible for:
maintaining internet connectivity;
maintaining electrical service;
cleaning lenses and equipment where appropriate;
maintaining networking equipment;
updating supported environments;
and preventing physical obstruction of devices.
Failure to properly maintain the operating environment may void warranty coverage.
14. No Guarantee of Security Performance
PerimeterEye products and services are assistive security tools only.
PerimeterEye does not warrant or guarantee that its systems will:
prevent crimes,
detect every threat,
prevent losses,
prevent injuries,
prevent property damage,
or eliminate security risks.
AI systems may produce false positives, false negatives, delayed detections, or missed events.
15. Limitation of Warranty
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THIS POLICY, ALL WARRANTIES ARE DISCLAIMED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING:
IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY;
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE;
NON-INFRINGEMENT;
AND WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
Some jurisdictions may not allow certain warranty limitations, so portions of this Policy may not apply to certain Customers.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PerimeterEye shall not be liable for:
indirect damages;
incidental damages;
consequential damages;
lost profits;
lost data;
business interruption;
emotional distress;
property loss;
or security incidents.
PerimeterEye’s total aggregate liability relating to any warranty claim shall not exceed the original purchase price of the affected product.
17. Changes to This Warranty Policy
PerimeterEye reserves the right to modify or update this Warranty Policy at any time.

Continued use of products or services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
