The best directions refer to something a driver can recognize from the route they take.
- Describe the destination
- Specify the entrance and the exact drop-off spot, such as the covered area beside the side door. Avoid relying on a room name the courier cannot see.
- Explain the approach
- If the preferred location is away from the front door, include the turn or path that leads there. Keep that path visible to the relevant cameras.
- Keep instructions current
- Change your instructions when construction, a blocked path, or a different delivery location makes the old route unsuitable.

Delivery Guidance questions
How do I set my delivery instructions?
Tell your PerimeterEye assistant where packages should be left and how a courier should reach that location. You can change or remove those instructions by asking the assistant again.
Where does the driver hear the guidance?
PerimeterEye delivers spoken guidance through the connected camera speakers around your covered entrance or delivery route. PerimeterEye Access also provides an AI Doorman at the intercom. Speaker placement and supported hardware determine where the guidance can be heard.
Do I have to answer every delivery myself?
No. The system can give your saved delivery directions when it recognizes delivery activity. You can still open the camera view and speak live from your phone or indoor wall panel when a driver needs your help.
Will the system automatically unlock a door for a courier?
Delivery directions and access control are separate actions. With PerimeterEye Access and a compatible entrance, you can use your phone or wall panel to unlock it for someone you choose to admit. A spoken drop-off instruction is not itself an instruction to unlock a door.
Which Property Mode should I use?
Keep Armed for normal deliveries. Package Detection and Delivery Guidance work in every mode except Off and Quiet. Visitor mode is for large gatherings, not an ordinary package arrival.
Can I check whether the package was left in the right place?
Use the delivery event and relevant camera footage to review the drop-off. The preferred location needs to be visible to your cameras for the system to observe what happened there.
