PerimeterEye learns your property and handles ordinary arrivals, workers, and deliveries in context. There is no daily routine of arming and disarming as people come and go. Visitor mode is for large gatherings with lots of expected activity.

Make the drop-off visible
Start with the places packages actually land.
Choose coverage around your real delivery route, including the spot you want drivers to use.
- Porch or front entrance
- Include both the approach and the area where a courier sets a box down. A view of the door alone may miss packages left beside it.
- Side entrance or garage
- If this is your preferred delivery location, give it its own useful camera view and clear spoken instructions for arriving drivers.
- Gate or a longer approach
- Plan how the driver gets from the arrival point to the drop-off area. Coverage and connected speakers should support that route.

Package Detection questions
What does Package Detection tell me?
PerimeterEye identifies delivery activity and package drop-offs in the areas your cameras cover. Alerts and event history help you understand when a delivery arrived, where it was placed, and what happened around that location.
Do I need to switch to Visitor mode for a delivery?
No. Armed is the daily-use mode for deliveries, routine visitors, and workers. Package Detection and Delivery Guidance operate in all modes except Off and Quiet. Visitor mode is specifically for large gatherings with lots of expected activity.
Can I tell it where I want packages left?
Yes. Tell your PerimeterEye assistant your preferred drop-off location. Delivery Guidance uses the connected camera speakers to give arriving couriers those directions. You can update the instructions when your preferred location changes.
Can it see a package behind a wall or outside the camera view?
Package awareness depends on camera coverage of the approach and drop-off area. A box placed behind an obstruction or outside that coverage may not be visible. Plan the camera angle around the actual place deliveries are left.
Can I review a delivery after it happened?
Yes. Open the Event Timeline to review delivery activity and the relevant camera footage. Available footage depends on your system’s storage and retention settings.
What happens if someone approaches a delivered package?
The system assesses the activity in context. If a deterrent response is warranted, your configured system can use owner alerts, Brain-directed searchlights, targeted voice warnings, and siren escalation. You can review the activity or speak live. No system can guarantee prevention of package theft.
